Alphas Attitudes

The so called Statue of Liberty that resides in NY should be taken back by the French as all it stands for is a farce to the US govt and their treatment of David Hicks.  NO WHERE in the civilized world are people treated like this.  Did not the US just convict and hand over some one who was hung to death for such crimes against freedom, justice and human rights?  Where in the civilised world do you wait FIVE years for a trail with the rules of evidence being created as they go along, as the deeper they delve the slimmer their evidence seems, where hearsay and circumstantial “evidence” is permissable?  Where an un qualified person can spend five minutes with a mute prisoner and deem them in good mental health? Where the Government of the country of birth of that person stands by the illegal and amoral incarceration of him and openly supports the information and imprisonment?  NO WHERE IN THE FREE WORLD!!! UNTIL NOW.

NOW…. you can be arrested, held without trial or conviction, not permitted legal representation, tried on “ad lib” evidence, and sentenced to whatever…sounds like the Russian gulags of the 1950’s..but no, it is here, it is now, it is a fellow country man who for whatever reason was in the wrong place at the wrong time and is being held accountable for all the mistakes being made by the US. He is being held up as the trophy of war, the “terrorist” who we did catch and can tell the world about because God knows you haven’t caught too bloody many to date.

This is amoral, illegal, against all human rights agreements, and is a shameful indictment on the US and Australia for allowing it to continue.  When Jesus died, he did not make the US God, why are we?

My kids were a tad bored the other day, so they began mucking about with two old mobile phones I have…neither is connected to a network but both have games pre loaded or downloaded. So I charged up the phones and now they have hand held games stations ( cheaper than PPS )

Just a thought as we edge toward the down hill run towards the end of school holidays !!!

Why when you leave the purchase of your kids school shoes till deals come about, do you have to scrounge about to find the size and style? But if you are forthright, and buy when you find them in stock, do they discount by $10 a pair the next week?

Why does the hem of your kids pants/dress./whatever come unravelled when you are checking it for labels etc a week before school starts???

Why do you find the school bags have been used for Christamas rubbish and the odd half eaten apple since you cleaned them in December?

Why do you discover that your youngest school kid has had a growth spurt, that you did not notice and the 8 pairs of shorts some one gave you last year are useless to them?

Why do you find the lunch boxes you scrubbed, cleaned and dried in the sun have been used as pencil and texta holders over the holidays and the zips are ruined, the insides covered with pencil shavings? I think the grocery stores have a hand in this as they always have nice, new lunch boxes for sale.

Beware the school gremlins, they are among us

I am Alpha and I have attitude.

There is an ongoing and perpetual lobby for Sunbury to become separate from Hume and be a stand alone suburb..more like sink alone. Under the old Bulla Shire the administration was at best colonial and worst Medievel, rates have not risen substantially, services; although you cannot please all the people all the time or in the case of one Trevor Dance and Co: NEVER; are well within the acceptable boundaries for a municipality that emcompases such a diverse area.

Some would have people believe that the SOOH ideal is alive and thriving, reality is no one cares anymore. If is as stale as yesterdays soundbyte and has out worn its usefullness as a platform for would be politicos.

It is the disillussioned and distrustful who do not want such forthright progress in our town, those who want it all for Sunbury, admirable indeed ,but you have to wonder about how Bulla and the surrounding municipalites felt when they were the poorer cousin to the ever expanding Sunbury? Shoe’s on the other foot ,it seems or is it?

The constant crying poor about Sunburys alledged lack of resources and then the see- saw response of “vote buying” when the town is funded for some thing. New streetscaping is admonished as business restricting, if left it would have been admonished as a hazard.

The everclear picture is that of a small group of supposed community advocates who will never be happy with what the town has, will never accept that what’s done, is done and probably never get their small, pin heads around the idea that NO ONE CARES ANYMORE!!
